Terms of Use
VITA – Athletes & Fitness Hub ("VITA", formerly Q-Athlete) is a fitness community and marketplace for Qatar. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use VITA.
Zero tolerance for abuse
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour on VITA. Anyone who posts it loses their account.
You agree not to post, send or share anything that is: harassing, threatening or bullying; hateful towards a person or group; sexual or nude; violent or graphic; illegal, or promoting illegal activity; somebody else's private information; spam or a scam; or content you do not have the right to share.
What happens when somebody breaks this
- Any member can report a message — hold it down and choose Report.
- Any member can block another, which hides them completely and in both directions.
- Group and club admins can remove members and delete messages in their own space.
- We review every report and act within 24 hours. Content that breaks these terms is removed and the account may be suspended or deleted.
- The person who reported it is told what was decided.
Photos are also screened automatically before they are stored.
Your account
- You must be 13 or older to use VITA.
- Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep your password to yourself. What happens under your account is your responsibility.
- One person, one account. Do not impersonate anybody.
- You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete my account, or see how to delete your account.
What you post stays yours
You keep ownership of your photos, messages and training data. By posting in a community, group or club you give us permission to show that content to the other members of that space, and to store it so the app works. We do not sell your content and we do not use it to advertise to anybody.
Training is not medical advice
VITA is not a doctor. Workout plans, calorie targets and health figures in this app are general fitness information, not medical advice. Training carries risk of injury. Talk to a doctor before starting a new programme, especially if you are pregnant, recovering from injury or managing a medical condition — and stop if something hurts.
Buying and selling
- Purchases in the Market are between you and the vendor. VITA is the place the sale happens, not the seller.
- Prices are in Qatari Riyal and paid by card. We never see or store your card number.
- The vendor is responsible for the goods or service, for delivery, and for their own refund policy. If something goes wrong, tell us and we will help — we can cancel and refund an order.
- Vendors must sell only what they are legally allowed to sell in Qatar.
Events, sessions and training with other people
VITA helps people arrange to train together. Meeting people you do not know carries risk, and you take that risk yourself. Meet in public places, tell somebody where you are going, and use your judgement. We do not vet members, and we are not responsible for what happens at a session, an event or a meeting arranged through the app.
Things you must not do
- Break into, overload or interfere with the app or its servers.
- Collect other people's information from the app.
- Use somebody else's account, or let anyone use yours.
- Cheat the points, streaks or leaderboards.
Ending an account
You can delete yours whenever you like. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, and for serious abuse we will do so immediately and without warning.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and significant changes will be announced in the app.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar.
